An Angel Pin for Susan Ney Wages
Virginia Kernaghan gave an angel pin gift to her daughter Susan Ney Wages. Susan has always been an "Angel" in Virginia's life.
Susan Ney Wages
by Virginia Hollis Kernaghan
Before my daughter was born, I dreamed about her running down the sidewalk in a little pink dress to meet me in front of the Post Office in Huntsville where I grew up, so I knew she would be a girl. Not only is she my daughter, but she is also my Angel. She and I both love music and drama, and when she was in high school, she was in choir and many plays and tournaments for since I also taught English, speech and drama, I encouraged her to participate for she was such a good actress. Her poetry and prose readings often moved me to tears when she rehearsed for she put so much emotion in her voice. She has often said that when she was growing up, it was like living in a Musical for we were always going around the house, singing lines from songs and plays.
She brought me much joy as a child, and now as an adult, our roles have reversed for since I am in a wheelchair now, she does many things for me that I used to do for her, such as going for groceries, taking me to church and the doctor and visiting with me. Susan was named for my mother who truly was also an Angel, so my daughter Susan couldn't have been named for a better Angel than my mother for they are so much alike..
