Virginia Hollis Kernaghan gave an Angel pin tie tack to her long time friend Joe Mac Henry. Joe Mac is an "Angel" in her life.

JoeMacHenryYoung.jpgI met Joe Mac in 4th grade when he was 9 and I was 10. It was love at first sight on my part. After all these years, even though we each married someone else, we are still close friends to this day. He is selfless, considerate and a true gentleman who loves his wife, chiIdren, other family members as well as all his friends. He is a Christian gentleman who loves God and does things to help others.

JoeMacHenryPresent.jpgIn school, he made friends easily and wanted to do things to help others. As an adult, he continues to make friends and he uses his influence to help other people. When my husband was ill with cancer, Joe Mac wrote cheerful notes to encourage us, and he still continues to do that today even though he too has had many health problems in the last few years. For many years, he sponsored school reunions just because he knew the rest of us wanted him to do so. He calls and writes me cards and notes to check on me because he knows it pleases me to hear from him, and he is right. He is truly my angel.

The photos on this page came from Virginia Kernaghan's photograph albums of memories.
