My little great-granddaughter Haley is an Angel sent to make me smile again after my husband Hal died from thyroid cancer. During the nine months we were looking for Haley to be born, the months of anticipation flew by. After Wendy went back to work, her sister Brandy kept Haley for her, so I got to see Haley everyday for the first 18 months of her life. When Brandy was busy, she would bring Haley in for me to give her a bottle of milk or watch her while Brandy did some housework. It was then that I started singing again after not doing so for many months, for it was Haley's bright eyes and smile that helped me get over the pain of grief. |
