EuniceArthIntro.jpgI met Eunice in 1959 and she and I have been great friends ever since. She was the secretary in the building where I taught English, speech and drama for 30 years. I used to see her everyday during the school year, and sometimes on week ends when we went out to eat in Houston. Eunice has a great sense of humor, and she is a wonderful listener...Since I talk so much, it has always been good to have someone who seems to willingly listen to me ramble on and on.

We both retired about the same time, and still talk on the phone often. Years ago, she kept addresses on file of former teachers, and when I needed one to send birthday or Christmas cards to, Eunice could always supply it. For a couple of years after retirement, we met for lunch at least once a month, and since she kept driving, she often ran by to say hello and so we could catch up on news. Now, we are more telephone buddies than visitors, but still that friendship is fresh and current. Eunice is an angel in my life.
